What happens once I book my session?

I really love getting to know my clients before the actual photo shoot so that we aren't total strangers when we first meet.  For family photo sessions and childrens and baby portrait sessions, I will send you a  short questionnaire about your family- your likes and dislikes, your children's hobbies, favorite sports teams, etc. Your answers will help me custom tailer the photo shoot to your family.  This question and answer can also be done over the phone.  I will also spend as much time as you need discussing outfit ideas for the day of your shoot.  If you are booking an actor's headshot session, we will meet in person for a short meeting to discuss different looks and your career goals.  (In-person meetings are not available for Living Social Sessions.)

What types of sessions do you photograph?

I photograph maternity, newborns, babies, toddlers, big kids, teenagers, seniors, actor's headshots, corporate headshots, couples, engagements, weddings, birthday parties, bat mitzvahs, bar mitzvahs, weddings, dance, yoga, and special events.  (Newborn sessions are not available to Living Social customers)

What are your fees?

Prices depend on the type of session you are booking.  Maternity,  baby and childrens photo shoots range from $150-$600. Actors can expect to pay anywhere between $350-$700.  Newborn sessions start at $350.  Bar mitzvahs and bat mitzvahs start at $1000.  Weddings start at $1800.

What kinds of products do you offer?

I offer a full range of products including archival quality prints, gallery wrapped canvas, fine art watercolor prints, metal prints, albums, and high resolution digital file collections.

Can my session take place in our home or location of my choice?

We really favor and recommend shooting outdoors- outdoor photos tend to make much richer works of art. At the photographer’s discretion, sessions may also take place at your home:  because we only shoot natural light, if your home does not get a ton of sunlight, the session will have to take place somewhere else.

How long will my session last?

Family photoshoots and Childrens portrait sessions typically last about one hour. Please make sure that you and your children have been thoroughly fed and napped!  Newborn photography is more time and labor intensive- expect to spend at least 2 hours for a newborn photo session.  Actor's headshots take between 1 and 2 hours depending on the package you choose.  Mini sessions are available for families with one child only over the age of 6 months, for actors on tight budgets, and for corporate headshots.

What is your cancellation policy?

If you need to cancel or reschedule your photo session for any reason, please give us at least 48 hours notice.  If you fail to do so, you will forfeit your deposit.  We understand things come up and we will work with you if we are given proper notice.  We are unable to reschedule your session more than once.

How many people can be at my session?

As many as you want!

Who will my photographer be?

All sessions will be photographed by Rebecca Vinacour.

Do you allow  outfit changes?

Outfit changes are allowed, but keep in mind that sessions are timed.

How soon can my session take place?

Dates are subject to availability.  We can not guarantee any specific dates, but we will make every effort to accommodate your wishes!

How long after my session can I order prints?

Images will be available approximately 3 weeks after your photo session.  We offer in person proofing sessions in the comfort of your own home.  Rebecca will help you figure out the best images, print sizes, and products for your home.

Do you have a print minimum?

While many photographers demand that clients order a minimum amount of images (usually charging a minimum of $600) we at Rebecca Vinacour Photography think this is outrageous.  You will never be pressured to order prints or files.  We believe our work speaks for itself!

Can I scan, reproduce or email the images from my session?

Only digital images you purchase can be printed, shared or used online, social media, etc.  Prints cannot be scanned or reproduced in any way.  Digital images cannot be altered in any way.

How soon will I receive my prints once I have placed my order?

Prints will be shipped 4-6 weeks after your order is placed.

Can my pet(s) be in the photos as well?

Of course!!!  Although Rebecca is afraid of snakes, so please warn us if your furry friend doesn't run on 4 legs!

What should I wear to my session?

The answer to this question depends on what kind of shoot you are doing-- family, engagement, headshot executive, etc.  Please email us and we will send you a preparation sheet with more info.
