REBECCA VINACOUR PHOTOGRAPHY

Hi there! I'm Rebecca. I first started taking pictures when I was a student at NYU Tisch School of the Arts. Let's just say this was pre-iPhone, so I learned to shoot on a manual camera, developing black and white film in a darkroom! It wasn't until many years later that my husband said, "You know, you take great photos of all your friends, and you're such a goofball, I bet you'd be a great portrait photographer." He bought me a digital camera for my birthday, and thus began my professional photography career.
I know how anxiety-inducing it can be to have your pictures taken- trust, me, my dad was a photographer, and I have distinct memories of hiding behind a couch to avoid family photoshoots. I will do everything in my power to make you feel comfortable and at ease in front of my camera, even if it means resorting to singing and dancing. I've got some pretty awesome dance moves. "But Rebecca- my fiancee is an introvert, my 2 year old won't sit still, my mother in law to be refuses to stand next to my father in law, and the idea of taking wedding photos is freaking me out!"
Trust me, I've heard it all, and I can help! With my vast wedding photography experience- I have shot over 35 weddings (traditional weddings, elopements, and destination weddings) and hundreds of kids photoshoots and family photo sessions, as well as countless actors headshots and corporate headshots, I am an expert at bringing fun and professionalism to a vast array of photo sessions.
My work has been published in The New York Times, Rolling Stone, People Magazine, and most recently, Cosmopolitan.
I spend a fair amount of time participating in volunteer work. Recent projects include The Children's Heart Gallery which is a multimedia and traveling photo exhibit dedicated to finding adoptive families for children in foster care.
